Subdued – US Army 5th Transportaion Command Sew On Patch with Emblem
Iron on/sew on military embroidered patch. US Army 5th transportation emblem pictured on the patch in black and subdued coloring. Replica military patch. The 5th transportation command ran the Qui Nhon port and was later deployed to Da Nang with battalions at Vung Tau and Cat Lai. Among its duties were support of amphibious operation and supplying ammunition and ordnance to operational units, primarily by heavy boat. The wedge or V-shape indicates the numerical designation of the Command. The disc represents the wheel, a symbol basic to transportation and the star at its hub represents the command function.
